    Job Description

    First State Community Bank in Columbia, is seeking an energetic and self motivated individual for a _MARKET BUSINESS MANAGER _at our Marshall location .

    The Market Business Manager is responsible for leading and managing the branch retail employess to create efficiencies and growth opportunitienties for future market success.  They will focus on daily operational duties, staff development, with the majority of time spent in the area of personal and branch development.

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Market and service FSCB products by uncovering customer needs, solving customer concerns and helping customers meet financial goals
    • Attain market goals through the proactive outreach to customers in the community through the business call program 
    • A consistent advocate and ambassador of FSB Corporate Values, both inside and outside the organization.

    OPERATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Management of company policy, reports and procedures as it relates to regulatory requirements for the branch.
    • Management of daily reports to protect financial integrity of FSCB by minimizing risk associated with new account openings, handling of teller transactions and daily operations of branch retail staff.
    • Completion of personnel reports, reviews and request in a consistent and timely manner.

    STAFF DEVELOPMENT

    • Support branch staff in all aspects of retail management.
    • Provide all staff with continual product and service training to identify opportunities within their respective markets. 
    • Coach staff to higher level of performance; encourage cross training to help with branch traffic and assisting with client needs.

    PERSONAL AND BRANCH DEVELOPMENT

    • Be active in outbound calling efforts to prospective clients and log calls through CRM.
    • Identify opportunities to partner with product specialist to build deeper relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Build on skills and knowledge to strengthen consumer and small business lending at branch level.
    • Create activities that promote the bank within the community to build on brand, trust and reputation for being the best financial service provider in the area.
    • Develop a sales culture specific to market by identifying new to bank clients and opportunities with existing client base to grow services.
    • Collaborate with internal/external clients to provide full service solutions to meet client needs.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5-7 Years of Banking Experience preferred
    • Quality sales experience
    • Proven Leadership Abilities
    • Strong Problem Solving Skills and Decision Making Abilities
    • Effective Communicator (both written and orally)
    • Team Building Skills
    • Ability to Build Relationships
    • Adapts and Manages Change Well
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
