Job Description
PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Human Resources Generalist partners closely with other members of the HR team as well as Operations to provide support in all facets of the talent management strategy with significant emphasis in on-boarding and assists with various employment related activities including employee relations, policy administration, workers’ compensation and unemployment claims administration.
SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for new hire on-boarding initiatives including processing new hires through the recruiting and HRIS systems, as well as reviewing new hire paperwork for completion.
Support field and corporate hiring managers through the hire process.
Maintains positive employee relations/practices and provides policy interpretation as necessary.
Provides guidance and assists managers with the disciplinary process and the administration of terminations at the individual contributor level; partners closely with HR leadership regarding more complex employee relations matters.
Manages the workers’ compensation and unemployment claims process.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Has no direct or indirect reports
Work is performed under moderate direction.
Participates in determining objectives of assignments.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE; KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
2-5 years’ experience in Human Resources; sound knowledge of HR laws and regulations
Prior experience with Ultimate Software preferred
Solid organizational ability, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong customer service skills
Intermediate PC knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Able to exercise effective judgment; relies on experience to accomplish goals and objectives
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
