  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY

    To lead, work, and monitor various day-to-day tasks in order to facilitate the flow of production and information across the department.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinates and lead the team’s daily operations
    • Ensures safe working environment
    • Acts as conduit/liaison between GL and TMs
    • Ensures accurate handling of materials
    • Ensures accurate communications with other groups
    • Enters data into basic spreadsheet systems
    • Ensures compliance to policies & procedures
    • Ensures quality
    • Ensures positive work force
    • Performs some of same tasks as Team Member
    • Assists with training and problem resolution
    • Other duties may be assigned

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for training team members, directing or distributing work, determining and/or planning work, and also performing the same kind of work as other team members. Strong recommendations for hiring and appraisal of work of Team Members.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to periods of prolonged high levels of noise. The employee may also be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee may also be required to wear protective clothing, gloves, hard hat, respirator, as specified in the various processes and/or instructions.  The employee will also be required to wear safety shoes and safety glasses.

    Required Skills

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Basic computer skills including word-processing and the ability to use spreadsheets are required for this position.

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Knowledge of graphs, charts and percentages is also beneficial to a person in this position.

     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Well-developed leadership qualities are also important in order to successfully carry out the reasoning tasks required in this fast-paced position.

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.)

    Forklift license

    Required Experience

    High school diploma or GED, plus at least 1 year of leadership experience

    2 -5 years of warehouse experience
