    FirstLight is looking for compassionate, caring, dependable, responsible caregivers to provide COMPANIONSHIP and PERSONAL CARE to seniors, adults with disabilities, those recovering from illness/surgery or any adult needing help.  Our amazing team members work primarily in Honolulu, between Downtown and Hawai`i Kai.

    Our caregivers are the heart and soul of our company and we do what it takes to make sure they know it.

    HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU MIGHT DO FOR OUR CLIENTS:

    • Visit with them, read, play games and listen to music
    • Take them to the doctor, to activities or to visit their friends
    • Assist with errands, meals, laundry and light housekeeping
    • Help them with personal care
      • Bathing assistance & hygiene
      • Transfer & posture positioning
      • Continence & toileting care
      • Eating assistance
      • Oral hygiene

    REQUIREMENTS:

    -

    • Work experience as a CNA or Nurse Aide or caring for people with dementia is a PLUS

    • Currently attending or completion of a nurse aide training program or completed coursework which qualifies a person as a certified or licensed health care professional

    • Company drug screening to demonstrate a drug-free lifestyle will be conducted

    • Fingerprinting Background check, including criminal history, will also be performed

    • Current TB clearance and prior TB 2-step documentation

    • Applicants must be 18 years of age and a citizen of the United States

    • Reliable transportation to/from the workplace

    • Must have daily access and ability to use a mobile phone, computer, tablet or smartphone.

    • Clear communication skills - written and verbal - bilingual is a plus (Japanese, Spanish, Ilocano, Tagalog, Korean, and Mandarin)
