    Job Description

     

    Well-established company located in Geauga County is seeking a talented HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST to join our team. The HR GENERALIST is responsible for delivering all facets of Human Resources including recruiting, onboarding, safety, employee records management, formal review process, company training programs, benefits administration, 401(k) management, compliance and employee exit procedures.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    · Develop and execute the company’s ongoing recruiting efforts and processes.

    · Execute new employee onboarding process including offer letters, drug testing, background check, reference verifications, onboarding, and orientation.

    · Act as Safety Liaison for company and employees including workplace safety training, safety logs, remediation of employee safety violations.

    · Facilitate employee separations to include the return of company property, payroll processing, and benefits/retirement plan updates. Conduct exit interviews and relay information to management team.

    · Track employee turnover rate, employee turnover cost, and measure preventable employee turnover.

    · Retirement plan administration, including employee eligibility and enrollment, status change reporting, approval of invoices for payments.

    · Recommend, develop and implement policies and procedures. Update and maintain employee handbook.

    · Develop, administer, and oversee benefits programs. Relay benefits information to employees. Serve as point of contact for questions.

    · Maintain company organizational chart and employee directory.

    · Update and maintain employee file information.

    · Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

    · Manage and resolve employment issues in the workplace. Conduct investigations as deemed necessary and recommend course of action based on findings.

    · Assist management team with employee disciplinary issues and execute all disciplinary actions.

    · Generate HR related reports as needed.

    · Promote a working atmosphere across the entire organization that results in a high level of cooperation, efficiency, achievement, and team work.

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

    · Minimum of five years of human resources experience required.

    · Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.

    · Effective oral/written communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

    · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    · Skill in database management and record keeping with a keen attention to detail.

    · Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.

    · Self-motivation with a strong sense of urgency.

    · Desire to continuously improve and produce results.

    · Strong interpersonal and organizational skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

    · Hands-on work style, with a team oriented and “can-do” enthusiastic attitude.

    · Strong business acumen.

    · BA/BS degree preferred.
