POSITION : CLOUD DEVELOPER (PIVOTAL CLOUD FOUNDRY & OPENSHIFT)
LOCATION : DALLAS , TX (100% REMOTE)
DURATION : 6 MONTHS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
MANDATORY SKILLS : PIVOTAL CLOUD FOUNDRY & OPENSHIFT
- 6+ years of experience focused on CLOUD ENVIRONMENTS and their supporting infrastructures
- 5+ years of experience focused on CONTAINERS, KUBERNETES, AND DEVOPS
- Passion for open source, software, tooling, and automation
- Intermediate-level scripting skills in BASH OR PYTHON
- Broad and deep technical experience with one or more container, virtualization, and cloud technologies like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform,
- RED HAT VIRTUALIZATION,
- KUBERNETES, DOCKER,
- VMWARE VSPHERE,
- Experience across one or more vertical industry areas Comfortable working with highly distributed teams, including interaction with open source communities via email and IRC
- Experience working in a quality assurance (QA) role or working with service desk, bugzilla, Jira, ticketing systems, or bug tracking tools
- Familiarity with security fundamentals at the infrastructure, including cloud and hypervisor, and operating system levels.
- Ability to provision an OPENSHIFT cluster to replicate customer environments
- Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
- very good level knowledge of Cloud Foundry
- Basic Knowledge of Cloud technology
- Readiness to work on shifts (including nights, weekends)
- Customer communication experience & Customer-oriented attitude
- Experience in handling L2/L3 SUPPORT
- Understanding of Kubernetes Objects and Configuration
- Experience of debugging of applications to a source code level
- Knowledge of when issues can only be resolved by working with upstream open source projects
- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
