  • Responsibilities

    Inspection and monitoring of parts is required to ensure that high-quality parts are produced. In continuous improvement efforts, lead and/or support the production area. Ensure that clients receive high-quality items and that their problems and issues are addressed. The department is organized as a formal team, thus you must be able to work well with others.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

    • Set up and inspect the dimensions of parts with metrology tools to ensure that they satisfy quality requirements and are correct.
    • For record-keeping purposes, enter data from paper documents into the computer.
    • Paperwork should be checked, sorted, and filed.
    • Non-conforming parts are red-tagged and repair orders are created.
    • To address quality issues, communicate with the Quality Manager.
    • Resolve client difficulties at the point of contact.
    • Ability to serve as a point of contact between the company and the customer
    • Carry out capability and gage studies.

    • Support Red X / DOE efforts through continuous improvement actions.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Required: a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as completion of an apprentice program or equivalent experience.
    • Experience of two to three years

    SKILLS

    • Ability to adhere to predetermined processes
    • Multi-tasking abilities and strong attention to detail
    • IATF 16949 quality standards and statistical process control (SPC) knowledge; stamping; GD&T and blueprint reading knowledge
    • Basic metrology equipment, such as an optical comparator, a hardness tester, and a Coordinate Measurement Machine, must be able to be operated.
    • Equipment gages must be calibrated.
    • Sort, audit, or rework products as needed.
    • Communication and interaction abilities with employees at all levels, customers, and suppliers
    • It is necessary to have sufficient computer and arithmetic skills to complete departmental jobs.
    • Ability to collaborate well with others

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This position's working environment and physical needs are typical of a manufacturing workplace. The job necessitates a lot of visual effort and concentration, as well as the capacity to travel throughout the factory. It is necessary to be able to lift 40 pounds. The job necessitates a lot of standing and moving about, as well as a variety of physical exercises. As needed, travel to customer locations.

    SALARY INFO:
