Responsibilities
Provide a consistently high level of customer service for a wide variety of customers and their footwear needs- from runners and walkers to everyday/comfort footwear customers.
Provide a customized fitting experience, asking the right questions to ensure the customer gets the best shoe (and other products) for them.
Ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure is key
Provide general information about running, training programs, upcoming events, etc.
Maintain storefront through regular cleaning and organization
Assist manager(s) with opening and closing responsibilities
Assist event staff with responsibilities and events as needed
Attend periodic staff meetings/workshops
Other duties as assigned by the owners or managers
Primary hours: Weekend shift (Saturday 10-5pm, Sunday 11-5pm).
Additional hours during the week will vary with seasons (store hours from 10am-6:30pm).
Applicants should be able to commit to 20 hours per week.
Qualifications
Outgoing personality and eager to learn
Willingness to work a flexible schedule
Previous customer service or retail experience preferred, but not required.
Outdoor/endurance activity experience preferred, but not required.
Willingness to work well in a team environment
Eligible for employment in the United States
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
