    Job Title: Fitness Associate – Semi-Private Sessions

    Position Overview

    You're a dynamic fitness professional experienced in delivering personalized training within small groups (2–6 clients). You’ll create tailored workout plans, manage session flow, and foster community, maximizing client engagement, retention, and trainer efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities

    Follow Standard Operating Procedures: Follow SOPs for opening, closing, session management, and program delivery to clients.

    Conduct Semi-Private Sessions: Lead structured group training (2–6 clients), offering individualized program adjustments and coaching throughout each session.

    Deliver Tailored Coaching: Monitor form, provide feedback, and adapt exercises per client’s goals—even within a shared session.

    Efficient Session Structuring: Incorporate group warm-ups, then transition into individualized blocks or circuits, blending efficiency with personalization.

    Onboarding & Progress Checks: Conduct initial consultations and goal review check-ins to understand individual needs and track progress—setting the stage for effective grouping.

    Programming That Scales: Utilize scalable programming—e.g., offering "scaled" and "Rx" tracks or a rotation split—to simplify coaching while still customizing within sessions.

    Client Matching & Chemistry: Skillfully group clients by ability, compatibility, and goals; possibly start with familiar individuals, and provide trial sessions to test dynamics.

    Promote Community & Accountability: Foster camaraderie and motivational energy; leverage group dynamics to enhance client commitment and retention.

    Optimize Revenue & Value: Use semi-private pricing to deliver cost-effective training while increasing trainer earnings per hour.

    Ideal Qualifications

    Certifications: Holds a current personal training certification and CPR/AED credentials.

    Experience: Prior exposure to semi-private or group training formats (bonus: one-on-one training).

    Communication Skills: Excellent at instruction, observation, correction, and motivating diverse clients. Comfortable with presenting membership information to clients.

    Program Design Proficiency: Comfortable creating tiered or scalable programming for mixed-ability groups.

    Efficiency & Multi-Tasking: Capable of balancing attention across multiple clients simultaneously.

    Strong People Skills: Able to foster group cohesion, manage personalities, and encourage mutual support.

    Marketing Aptitude: Proficient in promoting semi-private offerings, via trials, social media, or client referrals.

    Teamwork: Must be capable of working with others while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

    This position will require the ability to repeated lift various heavy object to assist with setting up and cleaning up exercise programs for clients. The ability to safely lift >/=55 pounds will be required.
