Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to drive memberships in order to meet sales goals. Additional responsibilities include assisting with customer service, helping prospective members and existing club members with concerns regarding the club and starting new corporate accounts.
This role requires to have a drive to succeed in sales and have a sense of urgency to follow-up with leads also nurturing hot, warm and cold leads to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities include:
Determining prospect’s goals and motivation through a thorough Needs Analysis
Selling memberships and delivering great customer service to existing and new members
Diligent follow-up through phone calls, emails and other methods to convert leads into members
Reaching out to local businesses and developing partnerships for cross promotion
Managing, motivation and coaching the Front desk staff to assist with membership sign-up's
Focusing on daily key performance indicators to drive Membership Growth.
Setting daily, weekly and monthly sales, revenue and retention goals (including fitness) and monitor club’s performance towards goals.
Consistently looking for opportunities to gain new members and elevate service levels.
Developing relations with the community and local small businesses by involving club in community events.
Primary Success Determinants:
RESULTS ORIENTED: Primarily focused on sales and customer service related targets.
MOTIVATOR: Must be able to provide ongoing coaching and training to drive and motivate the Front Desk Associates to hit their targets.
COMMITTED: This is a full-time position and you must also be able to work at least one weekend day and one weekday evening shift.
Required Skills and Experience:
College degree in business, sales & marketing, or related field preferred.
Prior sales experience preferred.
Excellent customer services skills, outgoing, motivational and friendly.
Ability to deal with pressure in meeting sales quota.
Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build relationships with members.
Ability to resolve conflicts in a professional, tactful manner.
Ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
