Our fitness studio is rapidly expanding, and we need a part-time personal trainer to assist clients in reaching their fitness objectives. You'll be working with clients to assess their fitness levels, develop customized training routines, and ensure they're using equipment safely. This position requires excellent customer service skills as well as a passion for fitness. Responsibilities: • Verify that all fitness regimens are suitable for each client by conducting personal fitness evaluations • Maintain all gym standards and safety requirements to ensure that clients are safe and comfortable while working out • Teach clients proper technique for all exercises, especially those requiring more complex equipment, to reduce injury risk • Leading group, semi-private, and personal training sessions providing progressions and regressions for all skill levels. • Contributing to the company's goals of <3% client churn. • Assess, create, and deliver individual workout programs for in-person 1-on-1 clients and semi-private clients. • Deliver safe and effective workouts to individuals and groups no larger than 15 people. • Conducting Initial Fitness and Quarterly Goal Assessments. • Attend monthly staff meetings and required educational presentations. • Handle member concerns when applicable. • Assist with sales, new client consults, and qualify new members as needed. Qualifications: • Outstanding time management and organizational skills • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and coworkers • This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • Must hold current fitness certification / personal trainer certification from an accredited agency such as ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, OR obtain within 3 months of working at Studio ME. We are willing to train the right candidate. • A Bachelor's in an exercise-related field is preferred but not required. • Preferred but not required: 1+ years of experience training clients one-on-one. Bonus if experience teaching small group/semi-private classes. • Current CPR/AED Certification, OR obtain within 3 months of working at Studio ME. • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills. • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. • Desire and capacity to train all fitness levels. • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40 lbs. Compensation: $20 - $30 hourly
