Location: Solar Swim & Gym – Antioch, CA Schedule: Part-time / Flexible weekday and weekend shifts Reports To: Program Director / Head Manager
About the Role The Fitness Coach with a soccer background will lead classes and clinics that combine conditioning, teamwork, and technical skill-building. The ideal candidate will create a positive environment that encourages confidence, fitness, and sportsmanship in young athletes.
Key Responsibilities • Plan and lead youth soccer fitness sessions focusing on coordination, endurance, and teamwork. • Incorporate soccer drills that improve agility, balance, speed, and ball control. • Adapt training plans to accommodate various ages and skill levels, including inclusive and neurodivergent learners. • Reinforce sports values like discipline, respect, and effort through active learning. • Work with the Solar Swim & Gym team to integrate soccer into cross-training and fitness programs. • Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and participation.
Qualifications • Background in soccer (coaching, competitive play, or conditioning training). • Experience teaching or coaching children or youth athletes. • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred). • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills. • Knowledge of warm-up routines, conditioning, and injury prevention.
