That's the promise we make to every athlete who walks through our doors, and the Head Coach is the person most responsible for delivering on it.

We're hiring a Head Coach who can do three things at a high level: coach world class sessions, develop a strong coaching staff, and protect the member experience from the floor up. This is the most important hire we make at D1 North Shore, and we're being patient to find the right person.

About D1 Training North Shore

We're an athletic performance facility in Glenview built on the same training principles used at the collegiate and pro level. Our members include youth athletes ages 7 and up, competitive high school athletes, adults, and teams, all training together in a high energy, results first environment.

What You'll Own

Coaching the Floor

Lead sessions across our Scholastic (ages 7 to 18), Adult, and Team programs

Run athlete assessments and goal setting during onboarding

Set the tone for what a 5 star D1 session looks like, every class, every time

Building the Coaching Staff

Hire, onboard, and develop coaches who reflect our standard

Run coach education, programming reviews, and performance feedback

Build a bench that supports growth without sacrificing quality

Member Retention & Operations

Drive retention through proactive check ins and outreach to low usage members

Support our 7, 30, 60, and 90 day onboarding touchpoints

Oversee class scheduling, staffing coverage, and facility upkeep

What We're Looking For

NCCA accredited certification (CSCS, NASM, USAW, ACSM, or equivalent)

Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification

One plus year of coaching experience in strength, conditioning, or group training

Demonstrated experience leading or developing a team

A natural connector who lights up a room and builds real relationships with athletes and parents

Collegiate athletic background preferred

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred

Compensation

$45,000+ base, commensurate with experience and certifications

Commission and performance bonuses tied to real KPIs
