    If so, Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) is looking for an HR Assistant to join our corporate team in the West Loop. Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, this individual will perform a variety of administrative duties, primarily supporting the Human Resources Director, and assisting the Recruiting Manager. The Human Resources Assistant will provide support for day-to-day responsibilities, special assignments and ongoing activities/programs for the department, assisting in the organization, and coordination and communication tasks for a wide range of HR functional areas.

    HR Assistant Responsibilities:

    Provide a clean, safe, and healthy environment for members, guests, and co-workers.

    Every staff member, regardless of position, has a primary and urgent responsibility to clean and disinfect all club components as they are used by members and guests and yourself.Help retain and attain new members through club promotion and customer service excellence.

    Ability to direct and provide information to employees as needed.

    Work with HR department on developing trainings.

    Assist and coordinates employee recognition programs and employee events.

    Manage yearly Annual Notices where applicable.

    Assist with yearly review of Handbook to update company policies as needed.

    Manage poster compliance at all sites.

    Assist with various research and/or special projects or reports as needed.

    Oversees the I-9 File Management.

    Assists with the on boarding process for all new hires.

    Unemployment Administration.

    Assist with Benefit Administration and audits.

    Provide recruiting life cycle support (includes sourcing and interviewing).

    Identifying and attend opportunities for job fairs or community outreach to find potential candidates.

    Assist with exit surveys and manage new hire surveys.

    Maintain records of employees.

    Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates and performing reference checks.

    Assist with FFC University training sessions and record keeping.

    Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.

    Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

    HR Assistant Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or two years experience in the field

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Ability to exercise discretion, initiative, and good judgment

    Full understanding of HR functions and best practices

    Excellent written and verbal communion skills

    Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

    Fantastic organizational and time management skills

    Strong decision making and problem solving skills

    Ability to accurately follow instructions

    Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

    Physical Requirements:

    Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for walking, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; may be required to push, pull, bend, lift light to moderate objects (30 lbs.), carry, reach, and stoop; finger dexterity is essential. Maintain mental capacity that permits making sound judgments regarding work and have regular attendance.
