    Fitness Manager

    Reports to: Club General Manager

    Position Summary: The Fitness Manager is a hybrid leadership role combining oversight of both Personal Training and Group Fitness programming, while also playing a key role in the overall success of daily gym operations. This position leads by example to ensure that Crunch members receive world-class service, quality programming, and a safe, clean, and fun fitness environment. The Fitness Manager will develop a high-performing team of fitness professionals, contribute to operational efficiency, and drive both member engagement and retention.

    Requirements:

    4 year college degree preferred

    2-4 years management experience preferred

    Qualifications:

    Valid CPR/AED Certification (Required)

    Nationally Accredited Certification in Group Fitness and/or Personal Training (AFAA, ACE, NASM, or equivalent preferred)

    Previous experience teaching or training clients at varying fitness levels

    Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills

    Ability to manage schedules, payroll, and performance metrics

    Previous experience supporting or managing gym operations

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Leadership & Team Development

    Recruit, onboard, and train group fitness instructors and personal trainers

    Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching or corrective action as needed

    Provide ongoing leadership and professional development opportunities

    Ensure all fitness staff follow company standards for punctuality, uniform compliance, friendliness, and cleanliness

    Foster collaboration between departments to ensure smooth daily operations

    Group Fitness Program Management

    Maintain and distribute accurate group fitness class schedules

    Ensure classes are consistently covered and manage sub procedures

    Track and report attendance weekly; manage performance metrics

    Supervise club-level group fitness marketing materials (flyers, guest passes, etc.)

    Implement new programming and promote attendance at special events

    Coordinate all quarterly and holiday schedule updates with corporate and internal teams

    Teach a minimum of two group fitness classes per week

    Curate organic social media content that highlights the Group Fitness experience

    Personal Training Management

    Oversee and coach the sales process for CrunchOne Kickoff sessions

    Support personal trainers in delivering consistent, high-quality service

    Manage all phases of the client journey from onboarding to retention

    Monitor team metrics for client acquisition and session utilization

    Coach the team to meet and exceed revenue and retention goals

    Gym Operations Support

    Act as a liaison between the fitness department and front desk/operations team

    Support the cleanliness, maintenance, and functionality of equipment and training spaces

    Assist with supply ordering and inventory related to fitness programming

    Participate in club walk-throughs to identify and address operational issues

    Be available to step in as a floor leader when needed, helping with member concerns, staff direction, and safety oversight

    Work collaboratively with the General Manager and other department leads to ensure smooth daily operations and peak member satisfaction

    Schedule:

    Full-time position (Minimum 40 hours/week) Suggested hours:

    Monday–Thursday: 10am–8pm

    Saturday: 9am–2pm Alternative shifts available with approval (e.g., 7am–5pm, 8am–6pm)
