The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly reliable, motivated, self-starting Fitness Manager to lead the fitness function within a franchise-owned, in-studio environment. This role requires a leader who is deeply engaged on the studio floor—teaching, coaching, mentoring, and connecting with members—while ensuring all programming and operations align with BODYBAR brand standards.
As the franchise grows, this position offers the opportunity to take on expanded oversight across multiple locations, helping to train leaders, standardize systems, and support new studio openings.
Key Responsibilities
Teach 12–15 BODYBAR Pilates classes per week, modeling brand standards, class excellence, and member engagement
Recruit, onboard, train, and develop instructors in alignment with BODYBAR franchise systems and programming guidelines
Ensure consistent execution of the BODYBAR Method across all classes and instructors
Own and manage the class schedule to meet member demand, support instructor development, and optimize studio performance
Serve as the in-studio culture leader, delivering a service-driven, welcoming, and professional member experience
Partner with the Franchise Owner and Studio Manager to support sales initiatives, local partnerships, and community outreach
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to utilization, retention, instructor performance, and class quality
Oversee equipment readiness, maintenance coordination, and issue resolution to support safe and seamless operations
Actively engage with members before, during, and after classes to strengthen relationships and community loyalty
Support franchise growth by contributing to scalable best practices, assisting with instructor training, and participating in new studio openings as needed
Qualifications & Leadership Profile
Must have pilates instruction experience (pilates certification)
2+ years in a leadership or management role
Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and consistency in execution
A proactive self-starter who takes initiative and operates effectively in a franchise environment
Highly motivated, results-driven, and growth-oriented
Experience leading teams while maintaining compliance with brand standards and systems
Strong operational skills, including scheduling, performance tracking, and process adherence
Comfortable using Google Workspace and adapting to franchise technology platforms
Strong communicator with the ability to lead, coach, and influence others
Community-minded leader who builds trust, engagement, and long-term relationships
Professional presence with the ability to lead by example
