About the Role:

A-1 Fabrication Inc. is looking for a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our team in Roseville, MI! This is a hands-on opportunity to showcase your fabrication expertise in a fast-paced, production-driven environment where quality craftsmanship is valued every day.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to plan and execute fabrication work

Fit, tack, and weld metal components to specifications using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes

Set up and align parts and assemblies using clamps, fixtures, and hand tools

Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards

Operate cutting equipment including plasma cutters, grinders, and saws

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety protocols

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fitter/Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols

Experience with fitting, layout, and assembly of structural or custom metal components

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production shop setting
