What you will be doing: This position is primarily responsible for the technical functioning of general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, journal entries for cash outflow, and other formal reconciliations in preparation for monthly and annual financial statements. This position will also assist in cost utilization, process development and documentation, accounts receivable, fixed assets, ad hoc reporting, and other special projects assigned to improve the day-to-day operations and current accounting functions within the company. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: -Responsible for customer billing. -Compile and review financial statements. -Maintain fixed asset schedules, reporting, and review. -Perform variance analysis. -Open item research. -Reconcile accounts. -Maintain General Ledger. -Process of employee expense reports Per Diems. -Post Journal entries from Paycom to General Ledger. -Perform monthly accrual entries and analysis. -Submit State Tax Filings. -Support month-end and year-end close process. -Review and process year-end 1099s. -Research and document issues with invoices to purchase orders for accuracy. -Assistance with AP/AR as needed. -Communicate with external vendors, internal managers, and other parties as required for any information or inquiries that arise. -Contribute to strong client & vendor/company relationships. -Other duties as required or assigned by the Controller. Position Qualifications: -CPA License (highly encouraged). -Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, as a minimum level of education, preferred. -QuickBooks experience required. -Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. -Experience with general ledger entries and adjustments with accruals. -Experience with account balance reconciliations. -Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel knowledge a must!) -Collaborative, self-motivated team player. -Exceptional attention to detail. -Strong organizational skills, as well as time and task management. -Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, innovative approach to work. -Attention to Detail, time management, and prioritization skills. -Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
