    Job Description

    Reporting to a Senior Research Specialist in Analytical Development, this internship position will be responsible for a development project related to a Five Prime program. The position will also learn several different instruments, perform assay testing, and provide results that will be used to help drive decisions within the Manufacturing Sciences teams. The selected candidate will gain significant experience in analytical instrumentation and biophysical analytical assays in a fast-paced working environment.

    Essential Functions and Duties

    • Work directly with scientific team to learn and provide assay testing on many instruments, including HPLC, CE, and spectrophotometry
    • Develop assays, with some statistical analysis involved
    • Present work or results in a group setting

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Major in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a related area
    • At least two years of college coursework in physical and biological sciences
    • Experience with HPLC systems is a plus
