    Job Description

    As the Finance Intern, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Review incoming e-mails from vendors, and route e-mails containing bills related to "cost of sales" to Operations Department, using Hiver collaboration software.
    • Reconcile daily banking activity for accounts in foreign and US entities, applying outgoing wires against Accounts Payable, and incoming wires against Accounts Receivable.
    • Obtain appropriate approval for payment of all non-cost-of-sales related bills (e.g. office rent, phone & Internet, office supplies), and enter them into Xero General Ledger, using proper G/L account categories and dates.
    • Upload credit card activity into Expensify expense tracking system, route to individual credit card holders, and ensure card holders enter proper documentation and G/L categorization. Once complete, upload data from Expensify into Xero and reconcile Xero against the credit card statements.
    • Update and reconcile inter-company loan, receivable and payable accounts monthly.
    • Ad hoc projects as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Junior in Fall of 2021
    • Accounting Major
    • Taken introductory accounting courses
    • Speak and read/write Japanese (not a requirement but would be highly desirable)

    Skills and Experience:

    • Excel/Google Sheets
    • G-Suite and Microsoft Office Suite
    • Basic Accounting Knowledge
