THE HIGHLIGHTS

We're a handyman/handyperson/handywoman company, operating all around the country and hiring full time Fixers in San Francisco, CA. We pay well: Fixers start at the company making an average of $61,000 – $66,000 a year based on skill set, and get health insurance along with several other benefits (details below).

We offer training for all levels of experience so you can increase your earning potential, and regular raises. If you've got any experience with general home repair — things like basic plumbing, basic electrical, hanging artwork & TVs, patching walls and fixing doors — keep reading!

Most people who like working with their hands don't love the other parts of running your own business, or even doing handy work through gig platforms. Managing customer service questions, scheduling, billing, not to mention trying to create a steady paycheck for yourself… They all take away from the time spent doing what you really love. At Fixer, we take care of all of that for you, so you can do what you do best: Fixing!

PAY DETAILS

Billing/Teaching Hourly Rate: $55/hr

This is the pay you make for every hour that you're working in a customer's home, and every hour spent teaching another Fixer your skills. In an 8 hour day, you can usually reach 4–5 billing/teaching hours.

Base Hourly Rate: $17/hr

If you're in between jobs, that's on us — you're still being paid for your entire shift. We keep the jobs coming all year round at Fixer, and we don't reduce staff due to seasonality.

Plus Tips!

Fixers earn an additional $200–$600 per month in tips. Your tips are yours; Fixer doesn't take a cut.

Regular Raises

For every 600 hours you bill to customers, you get an extra $1 on your billing/teaching rate. Many Fixers earn that raise about every 6 months, meaning your billed rate can go up by $2 each year (or even more).
