    PURPOSE & EXPECTATIONS

    The purpose of this position is to ensure that products being manufactured meet the engineering specifications and customer requirements/expectations. The QA Auditor/inspector is expected to work with manufacturing and Engineering to assure that the appropriate quality tools are provided and are being properly utilized at each work center. The QA Auditor must understand and be able to properly communicate customer quality expectations and concerns to all manufacturing associates in a friendly, cooperative and professional manner. A QA Auditor is expected to perform their duties in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to their supervisor or plant manager. All work areas should be maintained in a clean and efficient manner. The QA Auditor/Inspector will periodically work in other work assignments, other shifts, and work overtime and/or weekends to assist with coverage and unusual circumstances. The QA Auditor is responsible for implementation of quality systems. There may be other duties and responsibilities expected that are too numerous and varied to describe in this format.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    1. Accurately perform dimensional measurements of parts using applicable equipment.
    2. Analyze parts to evaluate them for visual/appearance defects.
    3. Properly document analysis and findings on shop floor control charts and Shift Log Book. All documentation must be clear and complete.
    4. Accurately complete inspection forms and reports for all products. All forms and reports must be clear and complete.
    5. Quality system record keeping.
    6. Accurate sampling, recording and calculation of numeric data.
    7. Acceptable attendance record.

    EQUIPMENT USED

    1. Micrometer
    2. Dial, digital, manual calipers
    3. Microscope
    4. Custom gages, gage pins, leak testers, and fixtures (both customer supplied and Flambeau Inc. supplied)
    5. Computer (Word and Excel)
    6. Personal Protective Equipment as required

    Required Skills

    3. Must be able to send and receive emails
    4. Must understand and follow work rules
    5. Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide
    6. Ability to make proper decisions given information that is available.
    7. Ability to read basic part drawings and/or blue prints.
    8. Ability to read and understand control plans, operator quality requirements (OQR’s), Inspection test reports (ITR’s) and Quality Alerts.
    9. Ability to understand and follow all company work rules, policies, procedures and guidelines.
