    DESCRIPTION:

    The candidate will be responsible for developing business opportunities for Flat Branch Home Loans Consumer Direct Division through lead generation and effective communication with customers during their loan transaction. Success will be achieved through generating business from lead system and successfully closing loans. Employee will be responsible for responding efficiently to customer inquiries (usually in form of sales leads) and cold calling and educating them through the loan process. This candidate is required to work locally in the one of our Leawood, KS locations; it’s not available as a remote position.

    Primary duties include outbound lead generated calling, e-mail communication, taking pre-qualification applications, guiding clients through the loan process, and becoming a mortgage expert.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Pass the National NMLS test and obtain an NMLS license and the required state licensing.
    • Mortgage Banker will be responsible for outbound calling and responding to inbound sales inquiries for clients who are interested in starting the prequalification process for a mortgage and providing them high level service from application to closing.
    • Follow documented origination procedure and obtain customer commitment, request documentation, and submit to processing
    • Determine best program for customer to meet their needs
    • Exceed daily, weekly, monthly targets set forth by management
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients to generate referral business
    • Adhere to sales scripts to build company brand
    • Become an expert on the evolving Lead Generated environment in Mortgage Lending and a unique value proposition to prospective clients and skillfully handle and overcome objections
    • Maintain rigorous prospecting for new business and equally rigorous follow up with leads in your pipeline
    • Understand and adhere to local, state, and federal laws regarding Mortgage Lending
    • Accurately track and convey productivity and sales metrics to management and expect regular accountability meetings with direct manager and company owner
    • Participate in regular training and education requirements
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Passion for selling
    • Must be able to obtain state NMLS license – company will assist in licensing. Not needed at time of application.
    • Enthusiastic and self-starting approach
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong math skills
    • Previous experience in calling leads and proven track record in phone sales – preferred, but not required
    • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Willingness and ability to spend 80 to 90% of workday on the phone making 100+ calls per day
    • Ability to use or quickly learn Lead Systems
    • Be a team player who thrives working with a tight knit company where their activities directly affect the bottom line
