    Job Summary:

    As a Lab Technician in our Food and Beverage Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. You will be responsible for conducting various laboratory tests, analyses, and experiments to monitor and maintain the highest standards of product quality. Your work will directly contribute to the excellence and consistency of our food and beverage offerings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sample Collection and Preparation:
    * Collect samples of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products for analysis.
    * Prepare samples for testing, including weighing, measuring, and labeling.
    
    1. Laboratory Testing:
    * Perform a variety of tests such as chemical, microbiological, and sensory evaluations to assess product quality and safety.
    * Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
    
    1. Data Recording and Analysis:
    * Record and maintain accurate and detailed laboratory data.
    * Analyze test results and communicate findings to relevant departments for corrective action if necessary.
    
    1. Quality Control:
    * Monitor production processes and product attributes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
    * Assist in implementing quality control measures to maintain product consistency.
    
    1. Calibration and Maintenance:
    * Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
    * Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions and assist in coordinating repairs.
    
    1. Documentation and Reporting:
    * Maintain proper records of laboratory procedures, test results, and reports.
    * Prepare and submit reports summarizing test findings and trends.
    
    1. Compliance and Safety:
    * Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and laboratory safety protocols.
    * Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, implementing changes as necessary.
    
    1. Collaboration:
    * Collaborate with other departments, including production and quality assurance, to address quality-related issues and implement improvements.
    

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (an Associate's degree may be considered with relevant experience).
    • Previous experience as a lab technician in a food and beverage or related industry is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
    • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

    You should be proficient in:

    • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
    • Microsoft Excel

    Salary info:

    $23 - $26 / hr
