    We are seeking a skilled and personable individual to join our team as a Raw Bar Oyster Shucker at our high-volume raw bar in a vibrant restaurant setting. As a Raw Bar Oyster Shucker, you will be responsible for providing a memorable dining experience for our guests by expertly shucking and presenting oysters while engaging with patrons in a friendly and informative manner.

    Key Responsibilities & Expectations

    · Oyster Shucking: Skillfully shuck oysters with precision and efficiency, ensuring the highest quality presentation for our guests.

    · Guest Interaction and Customer Service: Engage with guests in a friendly and approachable manner, providing information about the oysters, their origin, flavor profiles, and answering any questions they may have. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.

    · Food preparation, plating, and raw bar setup and breakdown.

    · Menu Knowledge: Stay well-informed about the raw bar menu, including oyster varieties, accompaniments, and seasonal offerings.

    · Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the oyster shucking station and surrounding areas clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety standards.

    · Up-selling: Proactively suggest and up-sell additional menu items, such as wine pairings or other seafood options, to enhance the guest experience.

    · Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient service.

    Requirements

    · Previous experience as an oyster shucker in a high-volume restaurant or raw bar is preferred. · Minimum two years experience serving or bartending in a high-volume restuarant.

    · Knife Skills: Proficient knife skills for efficient and safe oyster shucking.

    · Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills to engage with guests and convey information about the menu.

    · Customer-Focused: A customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

    · Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

    · Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to varying business demands and schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    · Ability to always be on time.

    · Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs. and stand for up to eight hours.

    · A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

    Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate + Tips + Tip-out
