    The host always presents a positive first and last impression of Fleet Landing and always shows genuine Southern Hospitality. The host coordinates the flow of guests into the dining room and bar areas and oversees guest reservations. The host continually exemplifies a spirit of cooperation and teamwork. The host team closely supports the management team to ensure performance is aligned with the goals and expectations of Fleet Landing.

    Requirements:

    Ability to always be on time

    A neat, groomed, and professional personal appearance

    A polite and professional demeanor and an ability to stay calm under pressure

    Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

    Excellent phone and communication etiquette

    Ability to work on your feet for up to twelve hours and lift up to 25 lbs

    Organized and able to multi-task with attention to detail

    Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and a genuine appreciation for creating excellent service experiences

    General knowledge and ability to use computers, tablets, apps, etc. including OpenTable, Microsoft Office, POS, and any other software used to complete job tasks

    Ability to manage crisis in a calm and effective manner

    Fortitude to effectively give and receive feedback

    Teamwork-oriented

    Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

    Ensures there is always someone present at the door

    Warmly and graciously greets all guests that walk in the door and thanks all guests as they leave

    Creates and fosters loyal relationships with returning guests

    Performs all duties outlined in the checklists such as checking voicemails, returning phone calls, updating voicemail messages, and updating scheduling with the reservation system

    Learns the menu and can answer guest questions regarding the menu and daily specials

    Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, responds to complaints, or makes conversation.

    Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure excellent dining experiences

    Inspects restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and cleans restrooms when necessary

    Shows respect and empathy to all team members and always portrays a positive attitude

    Follows directives of the management team and exemplifies a spirit of cooperation and teamwork
