Job Description

Job purpose * Grow and manage wholesale food service programs nationally * Develop new accounts through prospecting, networking, cold calling and referrals. * Provide sales support to existing accounts, work and close daily opportunities, continuously expanding the customer base. * Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing accounts. * Grow and maintain existing accounts * Communicate daily with sales team/management on the status of orders and customer concerns. * Maintain and enhance product and technical knowledge in the plastics red meat industry. * Can convert leads to customers to partnerships Qualifications, Skills and Experience Essential * 2-5 years of sales experience in foodservice, meat industry sales, or COP distribution Sales * Microsoft Office experience - competent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Located in Chicagoland Area * Able to work in Chicago office * Travel domestically and globally when as needed (approximately 5-6 times a year) * Work outside of office hours when needed * Ensures strong customer service/solution focus over segments and accounts as well as provide courteous, prompt and professional customer service Desirable * Experience in building and servicing foodservice programs * Understanding of lamb, beef, pork, or chicken marketing * Experience in building and servicing foodservice programs * Understanding of importing and domestic food service supply chain * General knowledge of sheep, beef, or pork carcass breakdown * A history of successful new business development via cold calling * Ability to effectively develop new products to unlock value and growth for both the customer and the company.
