    Job Description

    SUMMARY: The Contracts and Risk Analyst is responsible for evaluating the risk of doing business with certain clients through the review of contractual agreements as well as obtaining the correct credit reports, certificates of insurance and state licenses. 

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •    Applies a broad understanding of risk evaluation and standards in the review and onboarding of current and prospective business clients. •    Conducts the review of a range of contract types, accurately enters and maintains information in databases, and assists in keeping the contract process moving in conjunction with all other departments. •    Negotiates the legal language in contracts with clients by applying company risk standards, as well as working at times with the company’s lawyer and company executives. •    Independently reviews all incoming requests to correctly assist internal and external clients, and to organize the pipeline of incoming contracts for the whole team to process most efficiently. •    Understands, interprets, and applies risk parameters to a wide variety of daily tasks, many of which are unique scenarios in which they make sound decisions based on informed analysis. •    Processes and reviews client credit profiles, certificates of insurance, and business compliance documents. •    Analyzes new problems and successfully extrapolates solutions with little input from senior members of the team •    Identifies, gathers, enters, and maintains information in Salesforce, NetSuite and other systems for data accuracy and flow, and determines which parties need notification based on analysis of downstream effects •    Provides broad level of support for Contracts and Risk Management Department, Client Relations Team, Operations, Account Managers, and Business Development Managers. •    Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. •    Other duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES: •    Proficiency in all MS Office programs, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word. •    Experience working in a fast-paced and multi-priority environment is required. •    Previous experience using programs such as Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar database, and Excel for data management preferred. •    Possess analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  •    Must be able to multitask while maintaining the highest level of data accuracy, and shift gears as business dictates. •    Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  •    Operates successfully with a large amount of ambiguity in processes and daily tasks •    Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, including executive leaders, as well as function independently with minimal supervision. •    Be flexible, adaptable, and approachable. •    Possess high self-confidence, strong work ethic, and customer service skills. •    Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. •    Takes initiative and has great business judgement with confidence to make sound decisions and prioritize protecting the company from risk. •    Possesses strong written and oral English communication skills. •    Career oriented with a desire for development.

     

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: •    College degree or High School Diploma •    Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. •    Proficiency in all MS Office programs, especially Outlook, Excel, and Word. •    Experience using programs such as Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar database, and Excel for data management preferred.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and printers.
