Responsibilities:
Under general supervision:
Set up, run, monitor, and adjust CNC vertical mills (Mazak and Fadal) and lathes (Mazak) to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill.
Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions that define and code tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and control settings, for operations such as mill, drill, tapping, threading, profiling, and contouring.
Checks parts for conformance to specifications. Make changes and adjustments to fixtures, tooling, machine offsets, and programs as required to assure finished part quality.
Perform measurement and quality checks, at specified intervals, on parts making the proper adjustments as necessary.
Maintain and update, when necessary, process instructions and control plans.
Perform all secondary deburring, cleaning, and assembly as required.
Generally required to run more than one machine simultaneously.
Keep all tools, fixtures, work areas, and paperwork clean and organized
Run CMM machine.
Participate in our Employee Suggestion System, Lean activities, and WPO projects.
Adhere to Flexco policies and demonstrate setup/production efficiency.
