    Job Description

    Flexential's business and customer base is growing at an exciting and rapid pace. To further fuel this growth, we are seeking a dynamic SOLUTIONS ENGINEER to join our team.

    The SOLUTIONS ENGINEER (SE) is responsible for supporting market sales teams in acquiring new business. The SE will work closely with sales representative’s customers and prospects in providing technical guidance and developing solutions to customer’s problems. Support will include: discovery and definition of customer requirements, design and pricing of customer application solutions, assisting in customer presentations, approving all contracted sales from a design and engineering standpoint, interfacing with local and central service delivery and operations personnel to ensure a smooth hand off of all sales orders. The Solutions Engineer will support Flexential's solution selling methodology as the subject matter expert.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    PRE-SALES ENGINEERING:

    • Technical leadership with customers and prospects for pre-sales engineering
    • Discovery of customer’s critical business issues and requirements
    • Solution design to meet customer requirements
    • Participation in and assistance with sales process and closure (solution selling)
    • Assisting in customer presentations
    • Ensuring accurate pricing of complex sales proposals and assist in RFP responses
    • Coordination of additional support as necessary for sales opportunities; and participation in solution selling

    SERVICE DELIVERY AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:

    • On-boarding and smooth transition from sales
    • Quality assurance for solutions delivered
    • Assistance with backlog management
    • Responsibility for customer implementations/provisioning
    • Building strong customer relationships and customer satisfaction

    TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP:

    • Interface with local and central Managed Services, Operations, Marketing, Support and Service Delivery organizations
    • Industry awareness - continually seeking industry and market information to provide Flexential with information necessary for successful business development
    • Providing ongoing training to Flexential's sales organization
    • Recommending services and pricing improvements with all Flexential's services; acting as liaison with local partners to enhance Flexential's solution and service delivery; training/mentoring - promoting the
    • Professional growth of the team
    • Ensuring Flexential's visibility to the local and regional market/community

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • A minimum of 3 years relevant technical complex I/T Sales Engineering experience
    • Demonstrated ability to call on C-Level Executives and Engineers
    • Demonstrated track record of success earning new business
    • Demonstrated experience providing excellence in customer support
