Our client, a leading flexible poly packaging manufacturing company is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Flexographic Prepress Specialist with extensive experience in overseeing the Prepress process and team.
Coordinate prepress and plate-making processes, ensuring artwork is compatible with the presses, color integrity, and workflow efficiency. Serve as liaison between internal teams, QA, and external vendors for plate production and color standards.
Essential Duties:
- Review artwork proofs and new/changed jobs for production readiness
- Supervise press approvals
- Validate artwork compatibility with press specifications and extended gamut feasibility
- Coordinate with external vendors for proofing and plate production
- Participate in client pre-production calls to address artwork and technical requirements
- Collaborate with QA to review past press issues and implement preventative measures
- Maintain database of client custom colors
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality
- Share and review client artwork with necessary departments to ensure best quality

Pre-Press:
- Identify potential press issues that could affect production
- Spot-review upcoming jobs with press supervisor
- Share list of open projects with Director of Client Success and execute continuous Improvement projects
- Follow job schedules to meet client deadlines
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Understanding packaging die-lines and plate breaks/repeats
- Strong understanding of CMYK and Extended Gamut color theory
- Ability to identify prepress and color issues and resolve with the team
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in printing or related fields
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to participate in client calls and vendor coordination
- At least 5 years of experience in Flexographic printing
