The ability to oversee and understand inventory values, inventory turns, and possesses a strong skill set to determine when inventory levels need to be adjusted according to usage. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for making ongoing contributions to operational efficiency and procurement decisions that impact our procurement costs. • Balances inventory constraints effectively while making procurement decisions that support operational efficiency. • Implements cost control measures to align procurement activities with inventory goals. • Demonstrates financial acumen by optimizing procurement processes and inventory levels that contribute to operations efficiencies. Contract Management. The ability to assist with contract negotiations and drafting contracts that align with company goals. • Assists with contract negotiations with confidence, securing favorable terms and conditions for the organization. • Comprehends company contracts that are in place to ensure agreed costs, lead times, and quality elements are being provided by suppliers as agreed. • Demonstrates attention to detail in contract review, identifying potential risks and ensuring clarity in contractual language. Cost Management. The ability to balance cost considerations with quality standards in procurement decisions. • Demonstrates a data-driven approach to cost analysis, making informed decisions that balance cost considerations with quality standards. • Identifies and implements cost reduction initiatives without compromising product quality or supplier relationships. • Utilizes value-driven principles to optimize costs while maintaining or enhancing procurement efficiencies.
