THE ROLE:
Remote - Full Time
We're looking for an Accountant who can thrive in a remote startup environment, is self-motivated and can self-manage. If you do research on us and feel that you understand what Flipcause does at a high level, you have a passion for the nonprofit community, and you’re comfortable working on a fast-paced team, then we'd love to connect with you and see if we’re a good fit.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
Managing income and expenditure accounts
Maintaining ledgers for payable and receivable notes
Preparing and analyzing monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
Coordinating with cross-functional partners to streamline month-end close processes
Supporting payroll and benefits administration
Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
Completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years of experience in accounting/finance
Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Advanced knowledge and experience of spreadsheets
Ability to operate independently and as part of a larger functional team
COMPENSATION:
$50,000/year
