About the Role

At Flipside Crypto, product development is a collaborative effort between customer-facing teams, data science, engineering, and design.  Reporting to the Head of Product, you'll work with partners and across the organization. You'll define, shape, and improve our identity, as well as our products. We seek someone who cares deeply about understanding and building for customer needs, and is willing to learn the parts of our industry that may be unfamiliar.  

Your Responsibilities: 

Shape our Identity. You'll work with engineers and product managers to design our entire user experience.  We seek someone who can focus on sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and designs, while also enjoys zooming out to see the bigger picture.  Our products include asset ratings, growth dashboards, custom analytics, and cross-blockchain analysis. We need your help to:  

• Lead and contribute to the visual and technical direction of experience design, visual style, and technical tooling, with input from product, design, and engineering teams.

• Define, design, and deliver the design systems that underpin all our products, as well as the screens and workflows that determine our user experience.  Continuously develop and expand product design systems and toolkits. 

• Determine how we craft user-friendly and user-focused experiences to delight our customers.  Iterate on process and iron out implementation down to the pixel level.

• Establish, build, and maintain a unique, flexible library of shared components

• Facilitate research activity to assess the efficacy of our system, tools, and process, as well as customer questions and needs.

• Improve workflows on individual products, onboarding, and analytic services. 

• Drive towards a unified and world-class presence both inside and outside the organization. 

• Constantly improve our customer facing marketing materials and website.

You May Be a Fit for This Role if You: 

• Have experience designing for business and developer-focused products

• Are an expert in either UI, UX, or visual design, but skilled in more disciplines across product design

• Are skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work

• Have proficiency with Figma, Invision, and industry standard prototyping tools

• Are familiar with or willing to learn display tools such as Mode, Tableau, Mixpanel 

• Enjoy utilizing user research and metrics to guide design decisions

• Have proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus

• Are comfortable managing work in tools such as Monday, Slack, Google Docs
