Lifecycle Content Marketing Manager - Location Flexible

    Position Summary:

Flodesk, the world’s fastest-growing email marketing startup, is looking for a fully remote Lifecycle Content Marketing Manager to join our growing marketing team. This role is equal parts creative storyteller and conversion-obsessed marketer who thrives as part of a fast-paced, high-energy, global team. Pairing storytelling with the customer journey, this role drives conversion, retention, and engagement throughout every stage of the Flodesk member lifecycle.

The expectations are high but if you love to create content, run experiments and measure your success, this is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level. We are excited to welcome new talent to our diverse, dynamic team!

    Who we are:

Founded in 2019, Flodesk is an intuitive email marketing platform, helping small business owners design emails people love to get. We’re on a mission to make small business owners more successful through good design and marketing. Through our unique flat-fee pricing, design-centric approach, and simple-to-use tools, we make it easy to build eye-catching, on-brand emails, forms, and workflows.

We are a remote-first company based in San Francisco, CA with a global team.

    Who you are:

    • Natural storyteller—You are a FOUNT of ideas, love to write and tell a good story. You excel at using a variety of content ideas and campaigns to educate, entertain, inspire—and convert—our customers through every stage of the customer journey.

    • Data-obsessed—Your natural storytelling abilities are balanced by your strategic and analytical mindset around increasing conversion. You are curious; always have questions; and love to use data to measure success. Your first thought on any new project is “How will we measure this?”

    • SaaS experience—Ideally, you have experience working in a SaaS environment AND can relate to and understand the needs of our small business members. You have a solid track record of creating scalable programs, campaigns, and tests for SaaS brands from the ground up.

    • Entrepreneurial—Bonus points if you currently have or have had your own small business or side hustle.

What you will be responsible for:

    • Content Marketing—Leverage data and customer insights to concept, write, produce and edit content in multiple formats, including blog posts, guides, success stories, newsletters and more.

    • Lifecycle Marketing—Create strategic initiatives for each stage of the customer journey that leverage customer behavior data and insights. These campaigns include onboarding, engagement, and retention, built and executed across email and in-product messaging channels.

    • Campaign Optimization—Continually optimize content and lifecycle campaigns by leveraging data and testing.

    • Analytics—Own the analytics and reporting for all the content marketing and lifecycle efforts, creating benchmarks and success metrics.

    Requirements:

    • 3-4 years experience in lifecycle and content marketing, preferably at a SaaS company with a familiarity of the “B2b” audience (i.e., entrepreneurs and small business owners who are more akin to consumers than enterprise businesses)

    • A strong background in data, reporting, and A/B testing

    • Must be comfortable overseeing campaigns end-to-end, from creation to deployment to analysis

    • Experience as a collaborative, cross-functional team player and comfortable partnering with a variety of teams from Engineering to Member Experience

    • Exhibit superb verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort interpreting results and communicating insights effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership

    • Extremely detail-oriented and organized

    • Eye for visual design
