    WAGE:

    $27.00 TO $30.00 per hour.

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    Hours will vary, depending on janitorial contract needs.

    Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday

    Week Days: 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

    Weekends: 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM

    In order to be eligible for employment with TVW Inc, all hires must pass extensive state and federal background checks, since we work in government buildings.

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    1\. Working supervisor role, leading staff, and completing floor and carpet care work in multiple different contracts.

    2\. Independently and with minimal supervision, provide the day-to-day supervision of assigned employees and work locations.

    3\. Conduct and supervise all Floor care and carpet cleaning.

    4\. This includes the direct supervision of all lead workers and employees, and their initial and ongoing training.

    5\. Ensures adequate coverage and coordination to complete all contractual requirements and all other assigned tasks. Maintains the quality of all work performed and the safety of all employees.

    6\. Conducts Quality Assurance walkthroughs of completed work and other areas as assigned.

    7\. Responsible for input to the SCS management on matters regarding, employee-related issues, training needs, budgetary preparation, site quality issues, overtime reduction, compliance with contractual obligations, employee accountability, long-range planning, and other matters as requested.

    JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

     

    1\. Must be able to pass criminal background check allowing entry into assigned buildings.

    2\. Must pass drug screenings.

    3\. Pass all customers and company-required background requests and receive adequate clearance to qualify for entry into all company facilities and contracts.

    4\. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of current vehicle insurance.

    5\. Ability to safely drive crew vehicles, including trucks, vans, box trucks, and other company vehicles.

    6\. Routinely communicates with customers and contacts the operations coordinator when problem issues arise.

    7\. Physical ability to bend, twist, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead. Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. and lift up to 50 lbs.

    8\. Ability to follow instructions and make decisions consistent with existing policies and procedures.

    9\. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Bi-Lingual is preferred and appreciated.

    11\. Physical ability to operate and manipulate various types of cleaning equipment.

    12\. Ability to navigate multiple buildings, set alarms, and secure all entrance points.

    13\. Excellent modeling skills in regards to company policy and procedures.

    14\. Ability to troubleshoot cleaning and staff issues as they arise.

    15\. Excellent supervisory skills (verbal and written).

    16\. Must be able to prioritize work tasks, ensuring quality work and maintaining a high level of customer service.

    19\. Ability to be available for after-hour emergency calls and overtime when needed.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY & JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1\. Direct Supervisory Responsibility of floor crew and assigned staff.

    2\. Provide input to the operations coordinator on personnel issues, including but not limited to work performance, recommendations for pay changes, job changes, job reassignments, training, and disciplinary action.

    3\. Ensures that site logbooks are maintained and utilized while conducting floor care or cleaning coverage.

    4\. Maintains current periodic cleaning calendar for all contracts. Keep SCS leadership and customers informed of updates.

    5\. Order supplies for locations and periodic services in a timely and organized manner.

    6\. Performs regular site quality walkthroughs and ensures that at least one written QA is completed for each job completed.

    7\. Provides input for developing and coordinating workflow and processes to create integrated employment opportunities for people with and without disabilities.

    8\. Trains, Coaches, assists, and supports periodic technicians and janitors, new and current, in dealing with issues involving personnel, site security, specific tasks, proper cleaning techniques, practices at their service facility, and other situations that may occur.

    9\. Respond promptly to management and customer concerns, usually within the hour.

    10\. Maintains and ensures work vehicles are cleaned and maintained cleanly and coordinates with the fleet manager to complete regularly scheduled maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)

    11\. Ensures emergency contacts are available for each periodic technician (floor crew member), janitor worker, and second shift employee.

    12\. Assess workers and provide written and verbal assessment reports in a timely manner.

    13\. Prepares yearly performance reviews for employees under their supervision, accessing their overall work and focusing on areas of improvement.

    14\. Prepare written documentation regarding safety concerns, incident reports, employee performance issues, periodic schedules, periodic building maps for project completion, and building safety information.

    15\. Ensures proper utilization of personnel in scheduling sick and vacation time and regularly scheduled services to provide overall quality and optimum efficiency.

    16\. Contact site representatives as required when problem issues arise; this will involve daytime visits with customers to check on service levels and address concerns.

    17\. Assists management in reducing operational costs, including, but is not limited to, reducing overtime and utilizing temporary labor.

    18\. Trains periodic technicians (floor crew members) and janitorial employees in proper cleaning techniques and processes. Redo trainings as needed.

    19\. Monitors supplies usage to assure cost effectiveness, including providing/ordering additional products and ensuring sites aren’t overstocked beyond their needs.

    20\. Interfaces with other departments in the company as required to complete tasks and/or assignments.

    21\. Attends required janitorial training and meetings participates in teams/committees as assigned, and works to achieve deadlines on projects, meetings, and company goals.

    22\. Available for off-hour emergency calls and assignments as needed from SCS Management and employees under their supervision.

    23\. Models’ exemplary behavior.

    24\. Provides assistance to all crew members to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.

    25\. Ensures proper utilization of personnel (assignments) to ensure optimum efficiency

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1\. Directly lead and supervise assigned periodic technicians, leads, and janitors in their assigned locations and facilities.

    2\. Responsible for promoting good work habits and ensuring deficiencies in performance are corrected in a manner that results in positive and sustainable outcomes.

    3\. Models’ practical leadership skills for periodic technicians and other janitorial staff and assists them in establishing good practices regarding daily work quality.

    4\. Assists in coverage of absences and leaves and provides recommendations for employee pay increases, job changes, job reassignments, training, and disciplinary action.

    5\. Communicate proactively with Staff and Customers via emails and during regular visits to the facility location. Provides actionable Quality Assurance and Service Reports to resolve cleaning concerns and overall issues.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Floor care, Janitorial and Carpet cleaning services.

    • High school graduate or equivalent.

    • Minimum 2 to 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.

    • Experience working with persons of all abilities.

    • Prior Lead of Shift Experience working with 2-3 staff.
