Floor Guard – Part-Time

Located on the Brooklyn waterfront with stunning views of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Statue of Liberty, Pier 2 Roller Rink is a unique destination for locals and visitors alike. We’re seeking dependable, energetic Floor Guards to help maintain a safe and fun skating environment for all guests.

Position: Part-Time (15–25 hours per week) Pay: $17.00 per hour Schedule: Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays Location: 150 Furman Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201 (back of the pier, near the basketball courts)

Responsibilities

Provide a clean, fun, friendly, and safe experience for every guest

Monitor and maintain the skate floor and skate counter before, during, and after sessions

Enforce facility rules diplomatically and consistently

Supervise skaters to prevent accidents and injuries

Communicate with the Session Manager, team members, and DJ regarding safety concerns

Respond to and document incidents according to procedure

Verify that all adult skaters have signed required waiver forms (Skater Agreement Cards in NY) and check Skater ID expiration dates

Complete assigned cleaning duties and assist in other areas as needed

Requirements

Must know how to skate (training provided)

Strong awareness and attention to safety

Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
