Ellis Home and Garden in Beaumont has an immediate opening for a Floral Designer/Retail Key Holder. We are a family owned and operated company that offers flexible scheduling in a great atmosphere with competitive pay. We are looking for hard-working, energetic, and dependable people to join our team. The candidate must be highly organized and able to multi-task at all times. The candidate must have floral design experience and be comfortable showing a portfolio or making a sample piece. As we enter our Fall & Christmas season this person will be a part of our design team that creates custom arrangements, retail arrangements and be apart of our store Design Team.

Job Description: Primary job functions will be to create Floral Arrangements and Bows as the Floral Designer for our store. This person will be responsible for creating the majority of our Christmas displays, taking orders from customers and creating pieces to sell in the store. This person will also act as a Key Holder inside the store. They will need to learn the day-to-day operations of our store. This will include, but is not limited to: providing excellent customer service at all times, loading/unloading plants/merchandise, cashiering, opening & closing the store, maintaining store Purchase Orders, stocking/pricing merchandise, keeping accurate inventory levels at all times, assisting customers with purchases, answering any questions that customers may have, following all safety procedures, and maintaining a clean & organized work environment.

Job Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Retail management/key holder experience required

Cash handling skills

Floral design experience

Experience with Inventory Management

Excellent customer service skills

Computer literate

Greenhouse/plant knowledge a plus

Ability to work nights and weekends as needed

Able to demonstrate or provide a portfolio of their floral design work

Pay will be determined by experience; starting at $12.00 an hour
