Job Overview:

The Construction Senior Estimator prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

This position directs, plans, and controls activities related to the contract, bid, and estimation of the cost of labor and materials for projects, products, or services to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and to maximize profits. The qualified candidate will be responsible for working within a team to prepare quantity take-offs, prepare budgets from schematic drawings with little guidance, prepare scope of works for subs and buying out, along with other standard estimator responsibilities.

A minimum of fifteen-plus (15+) years of estimating or relevant engineering and field experience is required. The Senior Estimator must have multifamily experience and a good understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong initiative and an ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of constituents. Proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem-solving, and prioritizing workloads are required to perform this job. Strong computer skills including operating knowledge of Microsoft and formalized estimating and take-off software is a plus.
