    Job Description

    The HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST AT FLORIDA DRAWBRIDGES, INC. is a full-time position that is responsible for hiring and on-boarding, employee relations, benefits administration, process improvement and employee/workplace law compliance. We are looking for an experienced Human Resource person to join our corporate team help us recruit and manage skilled and productive employees. If you are very hands-on Human Resources professional that enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced, small family office environment, then this is the job for you.

     

    Florida Drawbridge’s is a family owned and operated company focusing on the operation and maintenance of transportation infrastructure (Bridges, Highways, and Facilities). We are a mid-size company with approximately 500 employees who work at multiple worksites along the Eastern United States.

    DUTIES:

    • Perform all human resources functions for approximately 500 employees working on government contracts in various locations across the Eastern United States (including compensation analysis and planning, benefits administration, ACA compliance and reporting, union relations, recruitment, new employee on-boarding, performance management and documentation, worker’s compensation claims and administration, unemployment claims and appeals, employee relations, etc)
    • Communicate regularly with 7-10 Project Managers at various remote offices to advise on all employee relations issues, performance issues, recruitment procedures, training needs and requirements, safety training, employment laws, termination process, documentation etc.
    • Keep CEO and Corporate Project Managers informed and up to date on all pending HR issues and concerns from 8-10 different projects.
    • Conduct annual training and safety classes as required by our contract in remote office locations (less than 15% travel required)

     

    QUALITIES THAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR INCLUDE:

    • Ability to work autonomously in our unique, service-oriented culture

    · Bachelor’s Degree preferred or 5-10 years equivalent experience

    · Experience with payroll processing

    · Excellent communications skills

    · High standard of attention to detail

    · On-boarding experience

    · Experience in EEO, Labor Relations and Workers Compensation

    · Effective time management and ability to prioritize work

    · Efficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel

    Salary: $52,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually (commensurate with experience)

We provide operation, maintenance and repair services for Movable Bridges spanning over 1,600 miles of the east coast, from Portland ME to Islamorada in the Florida Keys. Our customers include agencies in six states along with the District of Columbia. FDI Services is a fully integrated group of affiliates comprised of Florida Drawbridges, Inc., East Coast Drawbridges and Drawbridge Services Inc. Each affiliate is dedicated to fulfill specific qualifications for our customers and contract scope.
