About the Construction Project Administrator Position

We are looking for a Construction Project Administrator to become the point person, subject-matter expert, and administrator of our construction project management software (BuilderTrend) while being an assistant to the Project Specialist, also the Managers of Installs and Engineering. The ideal candidate already has some experience working in project or construction management software. The ‘chosen one' is someone who is looking to spend the next few years growing along-side a rapidly expanding company, and who has likely worked construction or home services. You are someone who seeks to improve processes every day, thrives on maximizing efficiency, and has a knack for software and technology. 

Some on-the-job learning is expected. At first, there will be a lot of organizing to do within the software, as we prepare for a new phase of customer-facing operations. This is a full-time, hourly employee position, and you will be evaluated based on your ability to keep the software system organized and updated, respond to installation, generator, and engineering team needs, and perform well in a fast-paced team oriented workplace on a regular basis. You must be a proactive problem-solver that is a regular idea generator who stays tight on the details.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep projects schedules organized and up to date; reflect what is being done on a day-by-day basis
• Complete all software trainings and become in office subject matter expert and system support for construction management software
• Make the software and configurations your own and innovate ways to improve overall workflow efficiencies
• Be ready to tackle any new projects that come up - be highly responsive
• Convert sale leads into new jobs and projects when prompted
• Add new ways of organizing information via custom fields
• Create schedule templates for the varied work types we offer
• Manage requests, communications, and completion of project tasks across team members and project RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Train new employees upon hire on the project software

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of experience managing project management software such as Buildertrend, ProCom, CMiC, RedTeam, HeavyJob, ProjectSight, InEIght, etc.
• IT, system admin, or project management experience in HVAC, energy generation, home services, or construction industries
• Self-service and self-paced training is available
• Adequate knowledge of construction based data systems
• Team player with organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication (English; bilingual in Spanish preferred)
