    We're looking for an Engineering Intern with great attention to detail and willingness, a solid foundation in electrical engineering knowledge, good communication, and interpersonal skills, and an aptitude for learning. This internship will be the perfect opportunity to receive on-the-job training and to put your educational background to good use.

    The internship is in-office, and will generally accommodate your schedule. The expected hours per week are 20-30 and created around your academic schedule.

    The intern will be working within a growing Engineering department, in a role that requires excellent critical thinking/problem-solving skills, data analysis. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn from others and be an expert self-manager. Ready to take on the opportunity? WHAT YOU'LL DO AND LEARN ... AREAS OF IMPACT

    • AutoCAD, drafting electrical plans would be included.
    • Assist in office and administrative tasks for the engineering department.
    • Use tools in a way that allows you to identify continuous improvement.
    • Create, design, and document 2-dimensional drawings using AutoDesk AutoCAD.
    • Learn generator components, and reading electricity meters and circuit breakers.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL... 

    EDUCATION:

    • Junior or Senior Preferred working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil engineering required.
    • 3.0 GPA Min.
    • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a big plus
    • Beyond traditional schooling, the ideal candidate will have Electrical comprehension and ready to contribute to overall business growth. Your voice will have an impact here.

    WORK EXPERIENCE: 

    • 1+ years of electrical and/or civil experience (internship, co-op, part/full-time work exp., volunteering, etc.) preferred. Experience in an electrical or mechanical company is a big plus.

    TECHNICAL SKILL: Interns must be able to access a personal computer to work, and be knowledgeable of MS Office Suite, Google Suite.

    • Software: Knowledge or previous experience with project management software is desired.
    •  Able, willing, and excited to quickly learn, master, and apply knowledge in new software
    • Be able to maximize the use of all technology available to perform all functions of the role to the needs of the business
    • Effective project management knowledge and skills.

    CHARACTER + SOFT SKILLS: Successful interns will be focused, self-motivated, and intellectually curious with a demonstrated ability to analyze, and optimize.
