    This position plays a critical role in ASC’s Human Resource Department. The candidate needs to be a versatile forward thinking HR professional, but also exhibit the attitude and behaviors favorable to the company’s culture. This position requires a strategically minded, out-of-the-box thinker to develop strong employee relations plans and engagement.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provides a visible HR presence to enable / facilitate real time employee relations, engagement and solutions

    • Contribute to the delivery of key HR processes (e.g. career development, performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, union relations, benefits etc.)

    • Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness

    • Develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives

    • Serve as subject matter expert on majority of HR disciplines

    • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.

    • Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs.

    • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.

    Required Skills

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field

    • 3-5 years Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field

    • Experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding

    • 3+ years’ experience interacting with unionized workforce.

    • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)

    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality

    • PHR or SPHR certification preferred

    • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
