Florida Tattoo Academy is looking for an experienced tattoo artist to teach classes at our Palm Harbor location. We also plan to open an academy in Orlando. An average tattoo class size is 4 to 8 students and the classes cover everything necessary for new artists to get started tattooing, with a heavy focus on sanitization. Classes are 200 hours and the last 11 weeks. The classes include supervising students who perform tattoos on human skin and teaching tattooing techniques. Full-time and part-time instructing positions are available. Responsibilities: • An ideal candidate would have at least 10 to 15 years of tattoo experience, an amazing art portfolio, and have successfully apprenticed multiple tattoo artists.  • We have an organized curriculum and program that has been approved by the State of Florida that we follow in our classes.  • An ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and deep caring for helping create successful tattoo artists. • Teaching day, night, and weekend classes. Qualifications: • Professional art portfolio and tattoo portfolio • Passion for art and training artists • 7 years+ of tattoo shop experience • Strong written and verbal communications • Basic computer skills for grading students • Engaging and entertaining • Strong passion for tattoos and the tattoo industry • An interest in developing the next generation of artists • Tattoo shop management experience is a plus • Marketing and business skills are a plus Compensation: $500 - $1,000 per week
