We are looking for an experienced family law attorney to help our clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. In addition to a base salary between $90,000-140,000, each attorney will be provided a compensation package valued at more than $30,000 depending on experience: (1) Incentive compensation structure based on production, with additional potential earnings between $14,000 and $22,000 per year. These bonuses are paid quarterly. (2) Up to a $10,000 signing and/or relocation bonus. (3) The firm offers health, dental, vision, and short-term disability insurance, with 100% of the employee health premium paid for the base plan ($5,000 value) and 100% of the disability premium paid by the firm. Short-term disability provides 60% pay during maternity leave with no elimination period. (4) Paid time off begins accruing your first day of employment for a maximum of 10 days per year. Accrual rate increases with seniority at specified thresholds. (5) After one year, team members are eligible to participate in the firm's 401(k) plan, with a 3% employer contribution. (6) Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits are provided through in-house training, as well as via reimbursement for course and conference attendance (up to $1,000 per year). (7) Malpractice insurance is paid directly by the firm, and annual bar dues are reimbursed after the probationary period (more than $2,000 value). Responsibilities: Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable laws Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings Qualifications: Able to work independently while handling multiple files Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are required, as well as persuasive writing and verbal communication skills • 3+ years of family law experience • Member of Florida Bar in good standing Compensation: $90,000 -$140,000 base salary + bonus (see job ad for details)
