    Job Description

    We are now looking for Flow Capacity Planner to secure excellence in logistical operational performance, and its further development, by defining the capacity needs for Supply Chain Operations in close contact with our stakeholders. Our goal is to make a well-timed, complete, quality assured flow and capacity planning information and connect it with our stakeholders. We lead and develop the internal capacity process including working methods, tools and competence.

    Your main assignments as Flow Capacity Planner are:

    • Develop framework for overall logistical operational performance from a planning perspective and is responsible for the definition of needed capacities and requirements for assigned Business Units.

    • Monitor, analyse, control and follow up capacity planning with the goal to secure quality and availability for our customers, as well as cost efficiency in strong collaboration with Supply Chain stakeholders.

    • Provide network and volume forecasts for our end-to-end goods flow over a two-year time horizon as the base for financial cost planning and to secure the right capacity by internal and external stakeholders.

    • Provide operational capacity plan by defining the needed capacity on route and Distribution Centre level to secure global agreements in accordance with the operational frame.

    • Create the right pre-conditions for accurate and stable capacity plans by securing necessary system updates. Create transparency on volume changes to identify procurement needs and capacity requirements for Supply Chain Operations with the goal to improve efficiency and support cost development.

    • Take lead in the alignment and interaction with all relevant IKEA Supply Chain stakeholders to secure accurate and reliable capacity plans.

    • Manage stakeholders by securing good relationship and cooperation, creating understanding about IKEA planning processes and support end-to-end perspective among IKEA Supply Chain stakeholders.

    • Take lead in the development of internal Working Methods within the Capacity Planning Process.

    • Support creation of education material, as well as contributes to improvement of appropriate IT-Tools.

    • Lead and participate in projects or global assignments in area of flow capacity planning.

    • You have a good knowledge about Supply Chain and understanding of transport and warehousing industry.
    • You have good knowledge about how to build and evaluate fact-based business cases.
    • You have good analytical skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant tools and working methods.
    • You have the capability to build effective and trustful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • You enjoy solving problems and finding root cause.
    • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
