  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Prepares all export shipment documentation as required by local country law, while complying with multi country import requirements.

    ·         Maintains accurate export records as required by local country law.

    ·         Coordinates export bookings with multiple international forwarders and carriers to ensure adequate and timely transportation.

    ·         Prepares all domestic shipment documentation (truck bill of lading) and coordinates with 3PL and trucking companies for shipment consolidation and transportation.

    ·         Releases item requirement sales orders to warehouse for shipment.

    ·         Provides guidance and assistance to other departments/divisions within the local and Int’l organization, working closely with shipping, purchasing, sales and project management as well as global divisions.

    ·         Obtains Air/Ocean rate quotes.

    ·         Measure KPI’s for 3rd party warehouse.

    ·         Works with customs brokers, freight forwarders, customs authorities to file proper declaration.

    ·         Company AP coding, processing and escalation of freight/warehouse billings and defects for domestic and Int’l shipments that include freight forwarders, small package, LTL and 3rd party warehousing.

    ·         Review Letter of Credit shipments for company compliance.

    ·         Creates/updates department processes to ensure effective workflow within the department.

    ·         Performs other related duties as applicable.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    ·         Extensive knowledge of standard import/export concepts, practices and procedures to include Bureau of Industry & Security Regulations.

    ·         Ability to understand and gain comprehensive knowledge of Flow product lines.

    ·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    ·         Exceptional organization skills.

    ·         Strong level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.

    ·         Ability to work independently on projects and function effectively in a team environment.

    ·         Proficient with computers utilizing Windows based programs.

    ·         A combination of manufacturing and freight forwarding experience a plus. 

    EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

    ·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an import/export or domestic logistics coordinator.
