FluentPet is a mission-driven company that aims to help the world realize the potential of the animals we share this planet with. FluentPet and FluentPet Guides reach millions of individuals monthly. We are seeking an amazing social media intern / content creator to work directly with Alexis Devine (@whataboutbunny) and other famous online "talking" dogs and cats to help them shoot, edit, and produce educational and inspiring videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social media platforms. This is an extremely exciting role for any aspiring content creator who loves animals and/or science communication and is interested in jump-starting their career.

Role can begin as soon as June 1st.

Candidates need not have any particular employment experience, but should be extremely self-motivated and have a demonstrated track record of creating smart, engaging and well-performing videos on social media (any platform, but preferably Youtube, TikTok, and Instagram). Candidates should be familiar with basics of lighting, composition, and editing for online. Familiarity with video editing software is a must. Familiarity with AfterEffects and similar software is a plus but not required. An interest in and comfort with appearing on camera is also a plus but not required.

Interested applicants should include a 1 minute video laying out their reasons for being interested in the role, and share links to two or three videos on social media that have performed well.

This internship has the potential to be turn into a full-time role.

Duration: Up to four months

Compensation: $2400/month + $800 toward moving expenses

Location: Tacoma, WA

Equipment: Company will pay for required software, but candidates must provide a computer capable of video editing (or equivalent). Other audiovisual equipment will be provided as needed for the term of the internship.
