About Trimerge Construction Group: Trimerge Construction Group is a leading specialty contractor based in Greenville, Alabama, delivering high-quality commercial and industrial renovation projects. Our expertise spans a wide range of trades, including selective demolition, flooring, framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and high-end finishes.

    Job Summary:

Trimerge Construction Group is seeking a skilled and dedicated Fluid Applied Flooring Installer to join our growing team. If you are a tradesperson who specializes in creating highly professional, durable, and aesthetically pleasing floor surfaces in commercial and industrial environments, we want to hear from you.

A Fluid Applied Flooring Installer is a skilled tradesperson specializing in the installation of self-leveling and trowel liquid-applied flooring systems. These systems encompass a variety of materials, including urethane cement, epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, and methyl methacrylate (MMA), each with unique properties suited to different environments. The installer prepares surfaces, mixes and applies these liquid compounds, and ensures proper curing to create high-performance floor surfaces.

    Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Surfaces: Thoroughly inspect and prepare concrete or other substrates to ensure they are clean, dry, and free of contaminants that could compromise adhesion. This may involve shot blasting, grinding, patching, or applying primers and moisture barriers.

Mix and Apply Flooring Materials: Accurately measure and mix liquid flooring components according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper ratios and consistency. Apply the mixed material to the prepared surface using trowels, rollers, or squeegees, achieving the desired thickness and texture. This may involve working with different colors, patterns, or decorative aggregates.

Ensure Proper Curing: Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) during and after application to ensure proper curing of the fluid applied flooring. Implement necessary measures, such as ventilation or heating, to facilitate optimal curing conditions.

Install Cove Base and Transitions: Install integral cove base or apply separate cove base materials to create a seamless transition between the floor and wall. Install transition strips or other finishing details where different flooring materials meet.

Read and Interpret Specifications: Understand and interpret project specifications, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets for the specific fluid applied flooring system being used.

Adhere to Safety Regulations: Strictly follow all safety protocols and procedures on the job site, paying close attention to the handling and application of potentially hazardous chemicals. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, and eye protection. Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Collaborate with Other Trades: Coordinate with other construction professionals to ensure proper sequencing of work and integration of the fluid applied flooring with other building elements.

Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, is free of defects, and achieves the desired aesthetic and performance characteristics. Make any necessary adjustments or corrections
