Fluoroscopy Tech – Part-Time Contract Role
Location: Dallas, TX
Contract Dates: December 22, 2025 – January 31, 2026 (6 weeks)
Pay Rate: $40-43/hr
Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Shifts per Week: 3
Schedule: Weekdays Only
Patient Population: Adults
Uniform: Scrubs are not provided
Equipment Used: C-arm
Position Overview:
This part-time contract Fluoroscopy Tech role supports diagnostic imaging services for adult patients in a weekday-only schedule. The technologist will operate C-arm fluoroscopy equipment, ensure proper imaging techniques, and maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Strong technical ability, radiation safety knowledge, and professional communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fluoroscopic imaging procedures using a C-arm system while adhering to facility protocols and safety standards.
- Verify patient identity, review clinical indications, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal fluoroscopic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to support diagnostic and interventional procedures requiring fluoroscopy.
- Monitor equipment functionality and ensure proper setup, calibration, and operation before each use.
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of procedures, radiation exposure, and patient information.
- Uphold strict radiation safety practices, including proper shielding, time-distance guidelines, and equipment checks.
- Follow infection control standards, maintaining a clean and safe imaging environment in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with patient care tasks such as transfers, comfort measures, and procedure preparation.
- Manage workflow efficiently while meeting expectations for the 12-hour weekly minimum schedule assurance.
- Work independently and professionally without reliance on employer-provided scrubs.
Requirements:
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (R)
- Texas Radiologic Technologist State Certificate
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Background Check
- Driver’s License
- COVID-19 Vaccine or Approved Medical/Religious Exemption
- Tuberculosis Screening
- Skills Assessment: Radiology Tech
License/Certification:
- Fluoroscopy License (Required)
- ARRT (R) Certification (Required)
